This link takes you to a page. This page is about an 18 year old girl and her boyfriend that were killed in an accident. They were riding the boyfriend’s motorcycle when they were hit by a drunk driver. This page is about awareness, the kids, the trial, etc. My good friend was best friends with the girl that died. She is asking I promote this page to everyone i know, i figured, my tumblr friends will like this page. All you have to do is click the link, and like the page. Please please please help us spread the word. These young lives shouldn’t be taken by someone’s stupid mistake to drink and drive.

It should NEVER take someone’s life to make you wake up and realize the consequences of your actions. Think before you act and don’t ever get behind the wheel after drinking. I don’t care if you’re just “buzzed” or say “I’m fine, I only had a few”… it doesn’t matter. Imagine the state of mind you would want people driving in if they were on the same road as your loved ones. I will never understand people’s thought process when they reason with themselves that driving while intoxicated is okay. There’s no reason for it. Period.

This is my dad’s tribute to his parent’s who were killed by a drunk driver. I was only 6 when my grandparent’s were killed, but this is something that I have always and will always carry close to my heart. Please don’t drive under the influence. You are not only risking your own life, but the lives of others. Even worse, the emotional damage of the families left behind. One person is killed in the U.S. every 40 minutes by drunk driving. That’s 36 people a day! It’s sad because that number could and SHOULD be zero. I’m not going to beg for reblogs, but I will ask that those of you who read this…Take it to heart. No one should lose their life due to such ignorant and negligent behavior. My grandparents were wonderful people. They never got to  see my twin sister and I grow up thanks to drunk driving. Remember next time you’ve had a drink or two and put the keys in the ignition, that you could be getting ready to take an innocent life.
